SCC is always looking for competent and dedicated technicians. Our technicians join a team of specialized information technology (IT) experts dedicated to making the user experience more productive while still centrally managed.

We offer exposure to a wide variety of networks and install bases ranging from basic to cutting edge. We also offer the opportunity to work with emerging technologies, develop them and, where applicable, integrate them with our client's networks.

All our technicians must have a strong set of:

• Communication/customer service skills
• Sense of responsibility and attention to detail
• The ability to work autonomously yet productively

SCC technicians must also have professional experience in the following areas:

• Microsoft Networking (NetBIOS, UNC, WINS, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• General Networking (conceptual and practical knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Switches, Routers, Hubs, Broadband, and Dial-Up)
• Windows 2000/XP/Vista Family Of Operating Systems – Troubleshooting, Maintenance, and Installation
• Active Directory and the Windows 2000/2003 Domain Environment
• Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 – Troubleshooting, Maintenance, and Installation
• Automated Deployment of Software via Microsoft and Symantec Solutions
  • Microsoft Sysprep
  • Symantec Ghost Technologies
  • Automated Office Install Points
  • Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition

SCC technicians are also required to be a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in a current Microsoft technology that is also a core technology SCC offers to our clients. This is not required upon hiring, but will be an expected goal for a prospective technician to complete within the first six months of employment. Effective July 1st, 2007 SCC will update this requirement to encompass the next generation of Microsoft certifications.
